This design comes from a designer named Shamous Burns. I really liked this image because the red X's stand out and draw your eyes better than the rest of the design. Even though there is black and blue diamonds in the piece, I think, your eyes automatically are drawn to the red. I believe this image has a clear focal point in the red X's because it catches you attention. I like this piece because it shows great emphasis. I also think the placement of the X's are in a great spot. To me, I always think that if something is going to catch you eye, always put it on the left side. That's just my opinion. Great image!

Unity
This is a picture from the artist Steven Backman. It was created on October 29, 2005. This sculpture is made entirely of toothpicks. This sculpture, to me, is supposed to represent unity. The rubber band represents the unity and coming together of any and everything, whether it's humans or animals. But in this photo the rubber band is broken. A broken rubber band shows no signs of unity. Only a put together rubber band will show unity. This image makes me think about a lot of things. It makes me think of different cultures coming together and becoming one body. It makes me think of the ending of discrimination all around the world. But it also makes me think of the things that are broken and need to be fixed. I believe this image shows unity because it seems to fit all together. The yellow-gold stands out the most. And the black background, that get lighter as you go up the photo, brings out more of the image. Unity is very in design.

Cadillac Red
This Cadillac ad was found in Life Magazine, March 17, 1961. The web page I got this ad from was http://sip-of-sarsaparilla.blogspot.com/2010/12/christmas-wish-list-1928-bulova-watch.html. This ad interested me because Cadillac is my favorite brand of cars and my favorite color is red. I would totally buy a car if i had the money and the opportunity. I feel that people creating this ad wanted people to understand how fancy Cadillac is. This photo has a lot of fancy designs and shows the elegance of the car. I do not think that this is too much red, I believe its just enough. Any car freak would go crazy for this one. I just feel that when someone sees this ad, they would automatically be drawn to it. They may wouldn't buy this car, but they would be drawn to it.
