This design comes from a designer named Shamous Burns. I really liked this image because the red X's stand out and draw your eyes better than the rest of the design. Even though there is black and blue diamonds in the piece, I think, your eyes automatically are drawn to the red. I believe this image has a clear focal point in the red X's because it catches you attention. I like this piece because it shows great emphasis. I also think the placement of the X's are in a great spot. To me, I always think that if something is going to catch you eye, always put it on the left side. That's just my opinion. Great image!
Red is a color the attracts a lot of attention. As you said in your post the red X's really stand out and become the center of attention and draw the viewers eye to them. Its also a very interesting image, and one thing that makes is that way is because the X's are off center making you more likely to look around the picture a bit and be more dynamic than just in the center.
ReplyDeleteThe placement of the red x's makes me think of isolation; the xxx's are away from the center which makes me think that they don't belong with the other group of xxx's. It seems that the red color not only stands out in the image but it makes the red xxx become the focal point. Emphasis by color on this image makes our eyes focus on the xxx's more then anything else.
ReplyDeleteThe piece shows emphasis because of the bright red and the dark black colors of the composition. I too think that putting the focal point of a composition to the side makes the better. I think we just see it as different because we are so used to seeing the subject dead center.
ReplyDeleteBecause the red Xs are on the side and there are two colors(black and dark blue) on the background, it makes this picture interesting. It is also interesting that you mention about putting something catch viewers eye on the LEFT side!
ReplyDeleteThe Red X's do stand out the most they really stand out if they were in the center of the image. Over all i think this was really way to show emphasis because you are stay on one thing. It was very interesting image to pick out.
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that the focal point of the picture is off center. Its certainly an interesting picture, but it does good to show emphasis. I like it.
